Treatments

Hard-to-heal wounds don’t have to altar your life. We can help.

The first step in treating a wound is to understand why it isn’t healing on its own. At Advanced Total Wound Care, each patient’s plan of care is individualized based upon their health care needs. Our wound care specialists create a personalized treatment plan, monitoring progress and continuation of care, throughout your healing process.

Sanuwave Technology

Using ultrasonic technology, Ultra Mist technology accelerates the healing process. It is non-invasive and clinically proven to speed healing by activating living cells into and beneath the wound. This treatment is non-contact with technology that hovers above the wound area while reducing bacterial overgrowth. The technology is able to penetrate below the skin surface to promote blood flow and reduce inflammation.

Misonix Technology

Using a combination of saline and ultrasound technology to remove debris and damaged tissue off the wound, Misonix aids the healing process. This treatment physically touches the wound surface gently stimulating the blood flow to the top of the wound. The blood speeds the development of new cells to promote healing. This technology is less painful for the patient than traditional techniques where the wound is manually scraped. The ultrasonic technology means better outcomes for patients. Our trained wound care specialists use Misonix to remove bacteria and preserve healthy tissue and vital structures.

MicroGen

Using the state of the art qPCR+Next Generation Sequencing of DNA with MicroGen allows for DNA breakdown of biofilm in chronic wounds. This biofilm impairs wound healing and the bacterial growth and colonization can lead to sustained presence of proinflammatory agents that degrades or stalls wound healing. This type of  testing can increase precise species identification some 20-fold, allowing for the appropriate antimicrobial therapeutic options.
